ARQUIVO LÉSBICO BRASILEIRO
QUESTÕES PARA UMA HISTÓRIA LÉSBICA
Keywords:
Brazilian Lesbian Archive, lesbian memory, LGBTQIA+ resistance, archives and power, visibilityAbstract
The Brazilian Lesbian Archive (ALB), established in 2020, is a collective effort to preserve lesbian memory in Brazil, challenging the historical invisibility of LGBTQIA+ experiences. ALB emphasizes the importance of archives as political and affective tools, subverting power structures and centralizing lesbian experiences. While connecting with traditions of resistance, the archive reimagines a plural and inclusive future, fostering debates on LGBTQIA+ memory and resistance, and destabilizing normative narratives.
