Aplicando a Museologia LGBT nos Museus

Abstract

The Museu das Bandeiras (MUBAN) showcases how museums can transform their missions and practices to align with contemporary issues of diversity and inclusion. Since 2018, MUBAN has promoted initiatives addressing sexual, gender, and racial diversity, revising its mission and museological plan. In partnership with the local community, the museum has developed inclusive actions, training sessions, and events, such as distributing condoms and supporting LGBTQIA+ events. With a focus on training, research, and outreach activities, the museum has become an inclusive and collaborative space.
