Abstract

This article reflects on the significance of personal story sharing in building the visibility and representation of asexual identity, analyzing how past and present narratives interconnect and mutually reinforce each other. The research employs the hypothetico-bibliographic method and is qualitative and theoretical in nature, relying on documentary analysis and bibliographic review on asexuality. The study investigates how the sharing of experiences, through both historical and contemporary records, contributes to preserving the collective memory of the asexual community and enhancing its cultural representation. The exhibition "A is for... (Museum of Asexuality and Aromanticism)" is examined as a concrete example of this process, showcasing how stories shared by community members were brought into physical spaces to foster visibility.
