“Arrasa Mona”
os Grupos Independentes de Dança de Salvador como espaço dissidente
Keywords:
Independent Dance, Periphery, Gender, Sexuality, Dissidente BodiesAbstract
This text discusses the importance of independent dance groups in Salvador as spaces of resistance and transgression against social norms of body, gender, and sexuality. Peripheral groups and marginalized individuals create new artistic narratives, breaking away from cis-heteronormative standards. The presence of dissident bodies, especially effeminate and Black ones, challenges traditional dance conventions, fostering a space where identities flow freely, transforming not only dance but also the sociocultural understanding of body and art.
